Another cute picture ~
Just look at that face. Isn't she a sweetie? Well, she did really well last night. I think she ended up on the bed with Kristine, but when they came downstairs this morning, Candie and Cassidy acted like old friends. They chased each other around the backyard all morning. So far Cassidy has taught Candie how to get a drink out of the pond and Candie taught Cassidy how to drink water out of a bowl. Yeah, Cassidy didn't know that you could do that. She has warmed up to Rod all ready. And Kristine and McKayla took them both out for a walk after school. Not that they needed any more exercise after all of their running around, but I think Candie might be able to teach Cassidy a few things about going for a walk too.

Here she is ~
Here is another picture of little Candie. She went in and helped Kristine with her homework. She has always wanted a puppy to curl up by her while she is in her room.

Kristine has made her a bed on the floor for tonight. We'll see in the morning who ends up where.

Look what we've got! ~
Look at this sweet thing! Her name is Candie, and she is moving in with us. We went to look at her tonight after everyone got here from school and work and we just had to get her. She loved the ride home sitting on the girls laps and looking out the window. Tomorrow we will try for a shot of her sweet face, but for now this will have to do. DeeDee has been running around the backyard showing her the trails and shortcuts. You'll have to stop by tomorrow night and see more pictures. I've got the camera battery charging now so it will be ready.

Another Fun Day ~
No, these aren't pictures of today. Today is cold and foggy. It is a good day to stay inside and do laundry and get to work on fun projects in my craft room. I've got a new grand baby coming soon, so there is plenty to work on. But enough of that, back to the pictures. These are from our last good day at the mountains.

You can see how beautiful it was. DeeDee and I started hiking and after just about 10 minutes it started raining. I am a fair weather hiker, so we turned around and went back to the TrailBlazer until it quit. So we got our 20 minute hike in. DeeDee chased off after some ATVers and ran with them for a while until they came back by and stopped so I could grab her and they could ride with out a crazy Basset Hound running and howling after them. She loved it.

What a fun day ~
One thing I love about having a Fall Birthday is the scenery is just about perfect. Yesterday was my birthday and it turned out to be one of those perfect days. Rod and I took DeeDee and the bike up to the canyon again. After we got to our pick up Rod spot, DeeDee and I went on a walk along the river and took pictures. Days just don't get better than this.

On the way home Michelle called and she was able to get the other kids schedules coordinated for us to have a birthday dinner together. Michelle's birthday is today. And I share my birthday with my Mom too! I have always loved having someone to celebrate with. Rod cleaned the kitchen before I started doing the Fajitas and then he surprised me with a vase of red roses while the kids finished work and drove home. I opted for Cheeesecake and KeyLime Pie instead of a regular cake and then there was a rousing version of "Happy Birthday". Brad sang me a traditional Mexican Birthday song in Spanish.
So after a beautiful Fall day trip, a good dinner with family and kisses from my sweet Kymber I'd say it was a pretty good day.
I even got to open my new pink Zutter Binditall v 2.0.
Wish you could have been here too Mom. It was a beautiful day.

My spoiled Basset Hound ~
I realized I haven't put up any pictures lately of my sweet Basset Hound Cassidy. We went to the mountains last Friday and while Rod was mountain biking we went for a walk. She loves exploring off the trails. And she will stop and wait for me if I get too far behind. It was such a pretty day, there were even Huckleberries on bushes along the trail. I was wishing I had my picking crew, but it was a school day so they couldn't come. The last picture is sweet DeeDee with my son. He didn't get to meet her until she was all ready 2 years old and they really hit it off. I don't know why I worried about that. She loves everybody. She especially loves when he comes home to visit. Yes, she is pretty spoiled.

Triangle Fold Card ~
Pocket Card ~
Isn't this fun. It is a pocket card that can hold photos, a gift card or just a message. The "for you" band slides off the card so it opens to show the pocket. The pattern for this came from http://www.ustamp.blogspot.com/ I used new Urban Garden designer papers from Stampin' Up!

Stamped Family Frame ~
Ok, we are jumping from the bright and cutsie of my last post project to the more subtle and subdued colors of this family frame. I used Purple Onion Designs stamps and more We R Memory Keepers papers.

Stamp Holder ~
I couldn't wait to show you what I've been working on this morning. It is a little altered file case from Target. I have fancied it up with Purple Onion Designs stamps and We R Memory Keepers papers. I also used Stampin Up! Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss stamp pads to stamp with and distress edges. I did sand the edges of some of the papers too. I just can't seem to leave any clean straight edges on my altered projects.
I stamped file sheets to slip into each section so it is easier to identify what stamps are in each pocket. I would need a really big one to put all of my Purple Onion stamps in. What I really need is a stamp storage system from Little Monkeys.

Friday Sketchers ~
Popping in again to show you another card. This is for the Friday Sketchers. I love the sketch Claudia posted this week. This Tilda is colored with Copic markers and I used Bo Bunny ribbon and rub-ons. Cardstock is SU! and I don't remember the paper. It was in one of my Scarlet Lime kits. I know I use this Tilda stamp a lot, but she is pretty cute. Maybe I can add a few more Magnolias to my collection so you get to see more variety in my projects. (There is a good birthday idea for anyone looking for ideas.)

Tilda ATC ~
Here is another challenge project. This is for the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge this week. The little stamps are from Purple Onion Designs.
Now, back to some real work.

New Bookmarks ~
State Fair ~
We spent the afternoon yesterday at the Eastern Idaho State Fair. We saw lots of animals and ate a lot of good food. And we found this cute little guy. Isn't he sweet? No, we didn't bring him home, but Kristine and I sure wanted to.

Just for you card ~
I took a few minutes this morning to celebrate the first day of school and make a card.
This is for the Friday Sketchers challenge blog. The stamps are Magnolia and Purple Onion Designs, papers are from Stampin' Up! and the flowers are Prima. I stamped one of the Purple Onion Flourishs as a border on the inside of the card too.

Back to School ~
aToday is the first day of school. Kristine and her friend met up this morning for silly pictures before I dropped them off at the Junior High.
I can't believe she is in 8th grade all ready. We have had so much fun this summer, running errands, shopping, and going to lunch. Have a great first day Stiney, I'll miss you!

Make a Wish Tilda ~
This cute little card is for the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday . The challenge this week is to make a card using bright colors. For me this is pretty bright even though the colors are a little soft. Thanks for looking!Tilda Pocket Card ~
Since my dryer is broken I couldn't do laundry yesterday, so I made cards instead. This simple little pocket card has a removeable Tilda that can be used as a bookmark or it can just be a cute little Tilda. And today the dryer is still broken and it will take a couple of days to get a repairman here so today I will be washing and finding alternate methods of drying things. Jen gave up and took laundry to her boyfriends house the other night. There might be time to fit in some more crafty stuff so check back tomorrow for a peek.
