Stamp Holder ~

I couldn't wait to show you what I've been working on this morning. It is a little altered file case from Target. I have fancied it up with Purple Onion Designs stamps and We R Memory Keepers papers. I also used Stampin Up! Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss stamp pads to stamp with and distress edges. I did sand the edges of some of the papers too. I just can't seem to leave any clean straight edges on my altered projects.
I stamped file sheets to slip into each section so it is easier to identify what stamps are in each pocket. I would need a really big one to put all of my Purple Onion stamps in. What I really need is a stamp storage system from Little Monkeys.

Friday Sketchers ~

Popping in again to show you another card. This is for the Friday Sketchers. I love the sketch Claudia posted this week. This Tilda is colored with Copic markers and I used Bo Bunny ribbon and rub-ons. Cardstock is SU! and I don't remember the paper. It was in one of my Scarlet Lime kits. I know I use this Tilda stamp a lot, but she is pretty cute. Maybe I can add a few more Magnolias to my collection so you get to see more variety in my projects. (There is a good birthday idea for anyone looking for ideas.)

Tilda ATC ~

Here is another challenge project. This is for the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge this week. The little stamps are from Purple Onion Designs. Now, back to some real work.

New Bookmarks ~

Here are more little Tilda Bookmarks. The one on the right is Stampin' Up! Afternoon Tea papers. The one on the left is Fancy Pants papers and I used my favorite Purple Onion Designs Stamps for the lettering.

State Fair ~

We spent the afternoon yesterday at the Eastern Idaho State Fair. We saw lots of animals and ate a lot of good food. And we found this cute little guy. Isn't he sweet? No, we didn't bring him home, but Kristine and I sure wanted to.

Just for you card ~

I took a few minutes this morning to celebrate the first day of school and make a card.

This is for the Friday Sketchers challenge blog. The stamps are Magnolia and Purple Onion Designs, papers are from Stampin' Up! and the flowers are Prima. I stamped one of the Purple Onion Flourishs as a border on the inside of the card too.

Back to School ~

aToday is the first day of school. Kristine and her friend met up this morning for silly pictures before I dropped them off at the Junior High. I can't believe she is in 8th grade all ready. We have had so much fun this summer, running errands, shopping, and going to lunch. Have a great first day Stiney, I'll miss you!

Make a Wish Tilda ~

This cute little card is for the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday . The challenge this week is to make a card using bright colors. For me this is pretty bright even though the colors are a little soft. Thanks for looking!

Tilda Pocket Card ~

Since my dryer is broken I couldn't do laundry yesterday, so I made cards instead. This simple little pocket card has a removeable Tilda that can be used as a bookmark or it can just be a cute little Tilda. And today the dryer is still broken and it will take a couple of days to get a repairman here so today I will be washing and finding alternate methods of drying things. Jen gave up and took laundry to her boyfriends house the other night. There might be time to fit in some more crafty stuff so check back tomorrow for a peek.

It's Here ~

One of the fun things about getting home from somewhere is seeing what arrived while you were gone. The UPS Man had brought my box of brand new Stampin' Up! catalogs on Wednesday. They are so fun. Someone has counted 400 idea samples in the book, plus all of the new stamp sets and papers. You'll love it. I will be getting the new catalogs out to my preorder list on Saturday and if you would like one be sure and let me know. See the post below to see one of the fun goodies that will be in with the new catalogs. There are also fun sales flyers that I will put in too.

Enjoy your weekend,

Wendy

I'm Back ~

We just got back from a fun family reunion in Park City, Utah. My husband's family all got together for a couple of days at a lodge right next to the Olympic Ski Jump Park. There were a few of the grandkids that couldn't get away from summer jobs, but there were plenty of family there that we haven't seen in a while. Thanks for all of the fun. I'll get the cookie recipe up this weekend. I have so much housework and laundry to get to today. Rod works 4 day weeks, so Friday starts the weekend and we have another bike trip planned. Here are a couple photos from our walk around Park City. Kymber giggled every time her Grandpa carried her up a flight of stairs. It was so much fun having her and Michelle come with us. We went to the outlet mall after this and I think we have Kristine almost ready for back to school. It is so fun to shop with her. Everything she tries on looks just adorable. I don't know if 8th grade girls are going for "adorable" but that's what Mom thinks.

Fancy Sock Monkey Card ~

Did you know that Sock Monkey looks great fancied up with Bella Rose designer papers? This will be a fun and really versatile stamp set. And from what I hear there is another accessory set to go with it in the new catalog.

My daughter, Kristine is making a Sock Monkey Magnet set to decorate her locker for school. I'll try and get a picture of it up when she is finished.

Bike Ride ~

Today was bike ride day. We loaded up the bike, the daughter and the dog. We stopped and got gas and bought a picnic, then after we went back to the house to get the bike shoes we were off. It was a beautiful day up at Kelly Canyon. Kristine and I dropped Rod off and then we drove down along the snake river so we could be at the end of the trail he would be taking.

It was a beautiful drive! We parked at the end of the Wolverine Creek trail and went for a short hike. For some reason Kristine was wearing flip-flops so we didn't get very far before she wanted to turn around. Here is the little waterfall where the creek flows into the snake river.

(She does have a good reason, her tennis shoes were still wet from going Canoeing at Girls Camp this week.) While we were hiking we saw four Eagles soaring above the cliffs along the river. It was kind of hard to get a picture of them, but Kristine tried and this is what she got.Cassidy was so glad to get back to the creek for a drink. Hiking is hard work for a short dog and she is always running up ahead and then having to come back and check on how fast we are coming. She will do her typical Basset Hound howl when she sees anyone coming. I'm sure the fishermen love that. Did you see her new pink collar? This is what she got after we went biking last time. Read this post for details. This week we just had to deal with dirt and mud. Such a treat after that last ordeal.
This last picture is how Cassidy helped Kristine get ready for Girls Camp on Monday. She is such a good girl. I was glad that she wasn't under foot in the kitchen though. We were busy making 24 pounds of Chicken Fajitas to send up for dinner the first night of camp. Enjoy your weekend,
Wendy

Catalog Farewell ~

It is almost time to say good-bye to the Spring & Summer Stampin' Up! Catalog. There are only 23 days left to place orders from this catalog. Then on August 11 the NEW! Fall & Winter Catalog and Idea Book will be available. I have a box of catalogs coming and I am working on plans for a catalog release Open House or Mystery Hostess Event. The Mystery Hostess Party we had this spring was lots of fun and it was a fun way to spread out the hostess goodies. Of course there were lots of door prizes too. Keep checking back for more new catalog information. There are a few peeks at new catalog sets we have got to see and they look pretty neat, so I can't wait to see them all.

Another Little Tilda ~

This one was just for fun. Isn't she cute! I took a minute tonight to put this little card together. I think this was one that I colored while I was waiting at an airport last month. The paper is KI Memories leapfrog, and I added MM brads. I used Old Olive and So Saffron inks on the edges.

Two in a row ~

Wow! Two card posts in a row. I am on a roll.

This card is for the Friday Sketchers Challenge. I loved this sketch, it is simple and easy to adapt. I changed it a little and made a rectangle card instead of the square like the sketch. I used SU! Berry Bliss papers, and SU! inks to distress the edges of the papers. I colored the Magnolia stamp with Copic markers. Thanks for looking, let me know what you think!
