Kymber's 1st Birthday Card ~

This is such a simple card, but it is oh so adorable! When I saw this set of Penny Black Critter Party stamps I had to have it. And since today is my first grandbaby's first birthday this is a card I made for her. We will have her party on Friday when her family comes to visit. More pictures then.
I used SU! Close to Cocoa and Very Vanilla cardstock and a little bit of SU! designer papers. I also used the following Copic markers.

How fun is this to add a Copic marker picture like some other bloggers do. I just think it is fun to have some Copic markers. My husband Rod and I just went to Salt Lake for a couple days to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. And he drove me all over Salt Lake looking for markers while we were there. I was finally able to find a store that had some markers and had to get a few. I don't think he quite understands how cool they are, but we are working on that. We also drove around and found a Lumber Liquidators store and bought stuff to put a new wood floor in the Living Room and on the stairs. We left the TrailBlazer home this trip and had the Honda. So it was packed FULL of boxes of flooring and supplies. At least my Copic markers didn't fill up the car. Maybe we can do that on the next trip. Just Kidding Rod!!

My First Swap Card ~

I added my name to a swap card list with my upline. I have been stamping for years, but since I am new with SU! I was a little hesitant, but I love how these cards turned out. I even did a different color version too.

I used the Always stamp set and the pink card uses Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss and So Saffron inks and papers. I stamped Very Vanilla Cardstock with these inks to make a patterned paper and used Basic Black ink for the heart. I watercolored the heart with Pretty in Pink and an aquapainter. I inked all of the edges with matching ink. For the sentiment I cut a small strip of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut each of the ends with the word window stamp. The phrase was too long to just cut all at once. For the second card I used Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and More Mustard. On this one I used Chocolate Chip to stamp the heart. I still need to add a sentiment to the second card, but it isn't going anywhere so it can wait.

We finally had a spring day here in Idaho. Yesterday we were able to get out and do a little yard work and clean out some flower beds. It felt so good to get outside after our extremely long winter. Just for fun, here are a couple of cute pictures.

Here are my girls, my son-in-law and our sweet grand daughter Kymber. We were in Salt Lake for my nieces wedding in March. It was so fun to see green grass, we still had snow at home. This is my very spoiled, naughty Basset Hound Cassidy. She likes this spot on the couch because she can see out the front window. Here are a couple more pictures of sweet Kymber. She will be one year old this week. We are having a family party on Friday, so I will have to put up more pictures of the party. And of course her birthday card. This little rocking chair was my grandmothers. I think she'd like to see her great great grandbaby sitting in it too.

My new Monday project ~

I want to share a new project I am starting. I am doing a little 6 x 6 quote layout to hang up each week. Ideally it will be done every Monday, but you know how that goes. Sometimes it could show up here on Tuesday. I plan to put them up where my family can see them and then collect them in an album. I loved this quote. It helps me to not give up even when things get rough. There are always things or people that we can rely on to get us through tough times. All supplies are Stampin' Up! I used ink pads and an aquapainter for the flower.

Have a great week,

Wendy

New Inchies ~

Here are a couple of Inchies I finished last week. It is kind of fun to work on the tiny things. I just need to make something bigger to put them on or start an Inchie Album. Visit here http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/inchie_inklings/ for more Inchie information.

Peek at the inside ~

Here is a look at the tag in the last post. I should have put this up with the other. I love the wheel along the bottom. Yes, I tend to ink the edges of everything. Either that or sand them. I've been working on more fun things this weekend and will get pictures up tomorrow.

Enjoy,

Wendy

Pocket Tag Card ~

I love how this turned out. It is a tag card that uses the Perfect Princess Stamps and Perfectly Pretty Wheel. I also used the Smile from Dare to be Darling. I ran the wheel along the bottom of the tag also. This is pretty easy when you use punches to cut things out. It is a good thing this is a springy card, because it is trying to snow outside right now and I am in the mood for Spring!!

New Watercolor Cards ~

OK, I finally got a watercolor project made into a card. Both of these cards use the Heartfelt Thanks set. Instead of 2step stampin'. I just used the outline stamp and watercolored them in with SU! ink pads and the aquapainter.

Enjoy,

Wendy

Not SU! but pretty cute ~

One of my new favorite things is my SU! Color Coach. First I stamped these images with StazOn Black Ink and used the color coach to pick coordinating colors to watercolor with. I used the SU! Ink Pads and Aqua Painter to watercolor the images and added ribbon to finish it off. I still might go back and do the Happy Birthday again and mat it and use dimensionals to mount it to the front.

Rod had Sinus surgery on Monday so this week I have been taking care of him and haven't done a lot of stamping. I did make me a wishlist of Copic Markers in SU! colors. So now I can work on getting a collection of them too.

So many fun things and so little time to play with them all.

Have a great weekend everybody,

Wendy

New Card ~

I've had so much fun watercoloring this week that it will take a week of posts to get you caught up on what I've been doing. Here is the first one. It is a card I sent to my parents. They should have received it all ready so it is OK to post it.

Enjoy,

Wendy

Itty Bitty Art ~

OK, this was pretty fun. These are tiny watercolored art pieces. I guess if I practice on this size I can work my way up to a 4 x 6 before too long. They are SU! stamps and inks and a waterpainter. I'm going to get back to work or play, whatever you want to call it. I have the house to myself for a couple more hours.
