Fancy Sock Monkey Card ~

Did you know that Sock Monkey looks great fancied up with Bella Rose designer papers? This will be a fun and really versatile stamp set. And from what I hear there is another accessory set to go with it in the new catalog.

My daughter, Kristine is making a Sock Monkey Magnet set to decorate her locker for school. I'll try and get a picture of it up when she is finished.

Bike Ride ~

Today was bike ride day. We loaded up the bike, the daughter and the dog. We stopped and got gas and bought a picnic, then after we went back to the house to get the bike shoes we were off. It was a beautiful day up at Kelly Canyon. Kristine and I dropped Rod off and then we drove down along the snake river so we could be at the end of the trail he would be taking.

It was a beautiful drive! We parked at the end of the Wolverine Creek trail and went for a short hike. For some reason Kristine was wearing flip-flops so we didn't get very far before she wanted to turn around. Here is the little waterfall where the creek flows into the snake river.

(She does have a good reason, her tennis shoes were still wet from going Canoeing at Girls Camp this week.) While we were hiking we saw four Eagles soaring above the cliffs along the river. It was kind of hard to get a picture of them, but Kristine tried and this is what she got.Cassidy was so glad to get back to the creek for a drink. Hiking is hard work for a short dog and she is always running up ahead and then having to come back and check on how fast we are coming. She will do her typical Basset Hound howl when she sees anyone coming. I'm sure the fishermen love that. Did you see her new pink collar? This is what she got after we went biking last time. Read this post for details. This week we just had to deal with dirt and mud. Such a treat after that last ordeal.
This last picture is how Cassidy helped Kristine get ready for Girls Camp on Monday. She is such a good girl. I was glad that she wasn't under foot in the kitchen though. We were busy making 24 pounds of Chicken Fajitas to send up for dinner the first night of camp. Enjoy your weekend,
Wendy

Catalog Farewell ~

It is almost time to say good-bye to the Spring & Summer Stampin' Up! Catalog. There are only 23 days left to place orders from this catalog. Then on August 11 the NEW! Fall & Winter Catalog and Idea Book will be available. I have a box of catalogs coming and I am working on plans for a catalog release Open House or Mystery Hostess Event. The Mystery Hostess Party we had this spring was lots of fun and it was a fun way to spread out the hostess goodies. Of course there were lots of door prizes too. Keep checking back for more new catalog information. There are a few peeks at new catalog sets we have got to see and they look pretty neat, so I can't wait to see them all.

Another Little Tilda ~

This one was just for fun. Isn't she cute! I took a minute tonight to put this little card together. I think this was one that I colored while I was waiting at an airport last month. The paper is KI Memories leapfrog, and I added MM brads. I used Old Olive and So Saffron inks on the edges.

Two in a row ~

Wow! Two card posts in a row. I am on a roll.

This card is for the Friday Sketchers Challenge. I loved this sketch, it is simple and easy to adapt. I changed it a little and made a rectangle card instead of the square like the sketch. I used SU! Berry Bliss papers, and SU! inks to distress the edges of the papers. I colored the Magnolia stamp with Copic markers. Thanks for looking, let me know what you think!

Celebrate Card ~

Not only is this a Celebrate card, but we are celebrating that we actually made a card. When we did our new wood floor and stairs project all of the extra stuff ended up in my craft room, which was good that there was a place for it to go, but made it kind of hard to go get something done. Anyway, that project is done and looks great, and I got the craft room cleaned out, and I made this cute little card. The papers are Basic Grey, the little angel is a Magnolia stamp, the celebrate is an Inkadinkadoo stamp. Inks and ribbon are Stampin' Up!, and flowers are from Prima. Got to go, this is my afternoon to be crafty. . . .

Fun and Busy Weekend ~

Well, today I am trying to get back to a routine after a busy holiday weekend. We had lots of family over for a picnic on the Fourth then we went and enjoyed the amazing fireworks down by the river. Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend, now back to laundry, cleaning and paying bills.

Check out this fun blog ~

Pretty Pressings

Not only does she have fun pictures of neat projects, but she is giving away some pretty neat stuff. She used Magnolia stamps too, so maybe that is why I love to visit her blog.

We're back ~

We just got back from a fun family trip to Oregon. It was fun to get together with my sisters and their families for a Wedding Party. Thanks Ardith and Brian for all the fun. We took Michelle and little Kymber with us. She was such a good little traveler, even on the last 12 hours in the car day. We took the little drive to view the waterfalls on the way over. This is Kristine at Horse Tail Falls.
Today I got the last of the trim painted from our remodel project. And we have the room all put back together. I love it! I'll post pictures later this week. Now I need to go get some fun projects done, it has been awhile.

Trip to the Mountains ~

Finally, the snow is all gone on Rod's Mountain bike trails so we went to the canyon yesterday. We took Kristine and Michelle, Kymber and Cassidy (my basset hound) with us. This was the first time we have been back up since Rod flipped off the bike last August and broke his collar bone. It was good to get back. Little Kymber loved hiking, I think she will be her Daddy's girl. Of course we couldn't get through the day with a little drama. While we were stopped to take pictures of Kymber and the wild flowers (they are on Michelle's camera so I can't post them today), Cassidy went and rolled in a huge, fresh cow pie. YUCK!!! She was gross, all green and slimey. We headed her back to the trail head and got the leash on her, then we hauled her to a creek to try and clean her up. She wasn't real clean, but better than before. Then we tied her to a tree to dry off and she proceeded to dig a big dirt hole to roll around in. Really this was better than before, because we just had a really dirty dog that didn't smell quite as bad. She got to ride in the back of the trailblazer and I led her promptly to the shower when we got home. Rod had to soap her up about 4 times, but she did come clean and we can stand to be around her again. We left her smelly ruined collar behind and found her a pretty new pink one today. I think it is probably a good thing that we don't have a picture of her, because it's not something I want to remember. Rod has another route planned for next friday so we will be out again, but I think Miss Cassidy will be on a leash this time.

Stampin' Up! news ~

Here is a copy of a letter I just sent to my Stampin' Up! customers. If you would like to be on my list and get emails directly, just contact me.

Hello,

I hope all of you are enjoying your summer. Stampin' Up! is getting ready to introduce a NEW catalog.

But before that comes out there is a new RETIRED LIST. http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/Retired_Lists_0608_US_A.pdf These Stamp Sets are available to order until August 10th. I will be putting in one last group order for this catalog on July 28th. Doing a group order like this will make shipping just 10% of your order instead of having to meet the $6.95 shipping minimum by yourself.

Also you will want to check out this next link. (Look for this link on my blog on July 1st.) Stampin' Up! has expanded their Definitely Decorative line to include Wall Décor Vinyl. There are both images and quotes. These are available for customer order beginning July 1st.

I still have a few of the Spring Summer Collection Idea Books. This is a great resource book for fun card and layout ideas. If you would like to get one of these Idea Books before they are gone, I will be including one with each $25 order (before shipping and sales tax) until they are gone.

The NEW catalog will be available on August 11th. If you would like to reserve one of the first copies let me know and I will add your name to the list. They will be FREE with a $50 order or $5.00 for just the catalog.

Michelle is planning to host a New Catalog Workshop out in Arco sometime in August. Let her know if you will be able to join us. There will also be a New Catalog Workshop in Idaho Falls too. I will start ordering a few sets from the new catalog in July, so you can get a peek at what is coming up.

Be sure and share this email with your friends. If they place an order you will get to pick a stamp from my freebie basket.

Be sure and check my blog for updates and sneak peeks as I get in new products.

Happy Stamping,
Wendy

I didn't get any crafting done last week. I was in California for a Nephew's wedding and next week we will be in Oregon for the big wedding party with family. It will be fun to enjoy a few days with family. Here is a cute picture of two of my nieces at the wedding.

Magnolia Bookmark ~

This was a fun little project. It's a bookmark for the Tilda & Co. Challenge Blog.

Enjoy your weekend,

Wendy

They're here ~

Yep! They just arrived. Only 10 days shipping from Sweden. I thought that was pretty good. So you can expect to see a lot of these little cuties in my projects this summer.

Friday Sketchers Card ~

Here is this weeks Friday Sketchers card. I went to visit my daughter and cute grandbaby yesterday. During Kymber's afternoon nap Kristine, Michelle and I colored Magnolias. It was such a fun afternoon with my girls. This card has Basic Grey papers, Prima flowers, SU! ribbon and cardstock, Copic markers and Magnolia Stamp. Thanks for the fun sketch!!

My first Magnolia card ~

Here is my first Magnolia card. Gill from England sent me some stamped images to play with until my stamp order comes from Sweden. She sent the cutest card too. I'll have to put up a picture of it too. Thanks Gill! That was such a fun envelope to get in the mail.

New Cards ~

I finally got some time to stamp today. I colored these last night after we finished the wood floor in the upstairs hall. We're taking a break before we finish the moulding. Anyway, here are a couple of new cards.
This "Cute" baby card uses a Stampin' Up! stamp and Prima papers and flowers. Cardstock is Purely Pomegranate and I used Copic markers.

This Congrats card uses the Lockhart Sunflower stamp and Basic Grey papers. Close to Cocoa cardstock and Copic Markers. The sentiment is from Stampendous.

Enjoy,

Wendy

Home Remodel ~

No, I haven't stopped stamping, but I have been taking a break so we can do some home remodeling. We have pulled up the carpet in the living room and put down a wood floor. It is beautiful. The stairs are done and the upstairs landing should be done tomorrow. It looks so good, even without the molding up yet. Here is a little peek. Can't wait to get it finished and move on to the kitchen. Later this summer we are planning to do a new wood floor in my craft room too.
And here are a couple new pictures of my sweet grandbaby. As you can see Spring has finally made it to Idaho.

Enjoy your weekend,

Wendy
